about me
Hi, I'm Alexis.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved being creative. Whether it was cutting and taping up garbage bags together and putting on fashion shows, blending away at my oil pastel drawings on Saturday afternoons in an art class or grabbing my mom’s camera and snapping away, using up her rolls of film.
Looking back, it only seems fitting that I would later on in life study both photography and graphic design. Once I graduated, I worked in the fashion industry, creating all sorts of social media content, moodboards, catalogues and many other digital and printed goods, all while using my background in photography to my advantage.
After a few years, I decided to take all that I had learned and become a photography and graphic design teacher. Although my time as a teacher was very fulfilling, I had to say goodbye to my students when I got married and traded in the big city life in Montreal, Quebec, for a small rural town in Ontario. My move led me to start freelancing and landed me yet another job in the fashion industry.
Fast forward another couple of years, and I am now full time freelancing and enjoying every minute of it!
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me flipping through interior design books, checking out local thrift stores or netflixing with my husband Taylor.
